This little shelter changes lives. The ball aims for big funding.

The mission of Trinity Place Shelter is to help LGBTQ* youth exit homelessness.
Trinity Place is an outlier, with ten beds for residents ages 18-24 and very specialized care. Located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, their focus is long-term success for residents, many of whom were rejected by their families or countries of origin.
Trinity Place relies on donations from corporations, small businesses, and individuals, and its continued success would not be possible without you.
The ball this fall is a critical funding source for Trinity Place Shelter, a non-sectarian, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has protected vulnerable youth since 2006 and now scales its reach in meaningful new ways.

Story

Our mission is to create a safe, affirming shelter where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ*) youth and young adults experiencing homelessness in New York City can access the skills and resources needed to exit the cycle of homelessness.

"Trinity Place Shelter gave me a chance to see what love and acceptance would feel like before I had anyone that accepted me for who I was."

A Message from the Director

Trinity Place Shelter creates a nurturing, identity affirming home that has a vital impact on the lives of LGBTQ+ youth. Despite seemingly overwhelming circumstances, we build a home where joy can shine.  Our residents can live at Trinity Place for up to 18 months while they work towards stable housing.  During this time we create a vibrant community where connection, growth and being our authentic selves is celebrated every day.

The money raised through this year’s gala not only provides the critical resources and services needed for our residents to exit homelessness, it helps us sustain a home where queer and trans joy can continue to shine through the darkness.

Thank you for partnering with us in joy and celebration!
