The second annual Trinity Place Gala raised over $86,000 in direct donations to Trinity Place Shelter, a non-sectarian shelter on the Upper West Side for LGBTQ+ 18-25 year old youth.
Honoring Dr. Wilhelmina Perry
The gala honored Dr. Wilhelmina Perry, an LGBTQ+ activist who had a pivotal role in the founding of Trinity Place Shelter in 2006, and David S. Flugman, a renowned attorney who has focused on the advancement of LGBTQ+ rights, and who was instrumental in preserving a ban on so-called “gay conversion therapy.”

Hosted by Miss New York 2022
The evening was hosted by Miss New York 2022, Taryn Delanie Smith, and took place at Wells Fargo's 63rd floor.
Over 100 Silent Auction Items
Including stays at vacation homes and at top Manhattan hotels, VIP major league sports tickets, and even a personalized video greeting "Triumph the Insult Comic Dog," garnered thousands in donations.

Paying homage to the rich and colorful ballroom culture of the 1980s, greeted guests at the entrance to the 63rd floor of space overlooking Hudson Yards and the Hudson River, graciously donated by Wells Fargo.

Building Futures for LGBTQ+ Homeless Youth
The funds from the second annual gala will support community programming for homeless youth and capital improvements to the shelter, as well as the introduction of a 12-week career development program supported by onsite case managers that is uniquely geared to LGBTQ+ individuals who have experienced homelessness.
